Senator MAUNSELL (QUEENSLAND) - I direct my question to the Minister for Agriculture. In view of the alarming shortage of fuel supplies in this country, will the Minister inform the Senate what steps he and the Government are taking to ensure that vital supplies of diesel fuel and gasoline are provided in order to maintain the sugar harvest in Queensland and also the imminent harvesting of that State 's wheat crop?

Senator WRIEDT -I do not really think this question comes within my sphere of responsibility. I do not know that I am responsible for the movement of fuel around Australia, even though it does affect agriculture. All I can do is to refer the question to the Minister for Transport who, I imagine, would handle this matter- that is, if he has any power in this matter, and I would even doubt that. Anyway, I will refer the matter to the Minister for Transport.
