Senator MURPHY (New South WalesAttorneyGeneral) - We will not oppose the amendment. It does no great harm. The Government thought that the provision it had in the Bill was satisfactory and proper. But as I indicated, unless there is some strong reason for opposing what is put forward, I will not resist it and give an excuse for defeating this legislation. The amendment may even be an improvement, but we think that the provision that was in the Bill was quite satisfactory. But it is sufficient for me to say that we will not oppose the amendment. We will let it pass.
