Senator GREENWOOD (Victoria) - Mr Chairman, we accept graciously what the Attorney-General (Senator Murphy) has said. I assure him that what was in the previous Bill was pointed out to me to be an onerous matter, and rather than compound the error we will accept what he has said.

Clauses 5 and 6 agreed to.

Clause 7.

(   1 ) There is hereby established a Trade Practices Commission, which shall consist of a Chairman and such number of other members as are from time to time appointed in accordance with this Act.

(2)   The members of the Commission shall be appointed by the Governor-General.

(3)   A member of the Commission other than the Chairman may be appointed as a full-time member or as a parttime member.

(4)   For the purposes of sub-sections 4 (3a) and (4) of the Superannuation Act 1922-1973 the Chairman and the fulltime members of the Commission shall each be deemed to be required, by the terms of his appointment, to give the whole of his time to the duties of his office.
