(Senator WEBSTERproceeding to address a question to the Attorney-General) -

Senator Poyser - I take a point of order. Standing order 99 states:

Questions shall not refer to-

(   a) debates in the current Session; or

(b)   proceedings in Committee not reported to the Senate.

This matter is on the notice paper and will be debated.

The PRESIDENT - I agree. The point of order is upheld.

Senator WEBSTER -Mr President,I appeal to you. Earlier Senator Wright asked a question about the first item on the notice paper. No objection was taken to that question.

The PRESIDENT - No, he did not. You are out of order, Senator Webster.
