Senator MURPHY - Mr President,I refer you to the motion which was passed by the Senate, I think on 7th May 1971, in courteous terms proposing a joint sitting of the two Houses of the Parliament in order to determine once and for all the site of the new and permanent parliament house. I ask whether it is not in accordance with the comity which should exist between the two Houses that an answer be given to that courteous proposal by this House and whether you, Mr President, have any information on whether an answer is to be received.

The PRESIDENT - A second consideration is involved in this matter and I should be grateful to the Leader of the Opposition if he would give me time to consider it. I shall reply to his question at the end of question time.
