Senator MILLINER (QUEENSLAND) - I direct my question to the Minister representing the Minister for Customs and Excise. Will the Minister investigate the possibility of passengers travelling overseas who have purchased articles from duty free gift shops being given the right to elect that such articles be retained at the shop until they return to Australia or be delivered to the aircraft immediately prior to its departure?

Senator COTTON - Yes, I will make inquiries into that matter.
