Senator McAULIFFE (QUEENSLAND) asked the AttorneyGeneral, upon notice:

(1)   Has it been claimed that it will soon be possible to prepare completely computerised profiles of every person in Australia.

(2)   Will the Attorney-General confer wilh relevant State Government Ministers with a view to (a) establishing a data bank tribunal and inspectorate, (b) licensing data banks cotaining personal information, and (c) preventing the misuse of information stored in data banks, particularly as regards the right of access to files kept by credit companies and the need to correct inaccurate information.
