Senator WHEELDON (WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - 1 ask the Minister representing the Minister for the

Interior: Why was the meeting of members of the Miners Federation which was held outside Parliament House today attended by policemen with cameras who took photographs of those present at the meeting? What is to be done with the photographs? Why should these citizens be treated as criminals or potential criminals?

Senator COTTON - I was not at the meeting of members of the Miners Federation and I do not know whether people were taking pictures. If they were, 1 do not know what they intend to do with them. It was a fine day and the fountains were playing, and they might have wanted pictures for their albums.
