Senator E D MILLEN (NEW SOUTH WALES) (Minister for Repatriation) . - The honorable senator, naturally, it seems to me, asks for some information as to the present position regarding the assurance given to the Government that works will be established. The honorable senator seems to think that this duty is being imposed in consequence of such an assurance. I understand from the officers of the Department that this firm has had experts in Australia for fifteen or eighteen months who have been placing themselves in a position to report. Their report has now been despatched to their principals in London, and that is where the matter stands. There is, however, every reason to believe that this firm intends business, and that success will follow their efforts.
