Senator McGREGOR (South Australia) (Vice-President of the Executive Council) . - If Senator Vardon will refer to the paragraphs covering the schedule, he will see a reference to parts. The idea is that when a machine is dutiable it shall pay the duty, and if any parts of that machine come in they shall also pay the duty. On the other hand, if a machine or other article comes in free, then the Minister may decide that the parts of that machine shall also come in free. The honorable senator will find that in one or two other places in the schedule this idea is given effect to. I do not think that any one can object to it.

Senator Vardon - I have no objection.
