Senator FINDLEY (Victoria) (Honorary Minister) . - I think that the course suggested by Senator Keating is the best which can be adopted in the circumstances. If Senator Millen will withdraw his amendment, progress can be reported when we reach clause 17.


Senator Millen - Does the Minister seriously ask us to go as far as clause 17 to-night ? He should recollect that an intermediate clause covers the proposal to abolish postal voting.


Senator FINDLEY - There is really nothing to discuss. I ask Senator Millen to withdraw his amendment.
