Mr SNEDDEN (BRUCE, VICTORIA) - My question is addressed to the Prime Minister. I remind the honourable gentleman that last night he said that the Government had decided to proceed with the establishment of diplomatic relations with Poland and the German Democratic Republic or, in other words, East Germany. What instructions has the Prime Minister given for Australian action to end all foreign military presence in Poland and the German Democratic Republic in accordance with his Party's policy?

Mr WHITLAM - Diplomatic representations have been established in the 2 countries. No specific action has been taken along the lines that the honourable gentleman mentioned. It is of course an objective which we ought to have in mind in international relations.
