Page: 1842
Mr Malcolm Fraser
asked the Minister representing the Minister for Primary Industry, upon notice:
(1) What examination has the Minister or his Department made concerning proposed organisational changes for the dairying industry.
(2) Will the Minister make available copies of any papers on the subject.
Dr Patterson
- The Minister for Primary Industry has furnished the following answer to the honourable member's question:
(1) I have taken the question to relate to the proposals for production controls which have been discussed within the industry and by the Australian Agricultural Council over an extended period.
(2) I have arranged for the honourable member to be supplied with the papers prepared by the Australian Dairy Industry Council and the press statements issued by the Australian Agricultural Council on the outcome of its considerations. Departmental consideration of the industry proposals has been made in the context of the Commonwealth's membership of the Australian Agricultural Council.
