Mr BRYANT (WILLS, VICTORIA) - I address my question to the Minister for External Affairs. Is it a fact that there are some 12,000 to 15,000 Russian troops in Egypt? What steps has he taken through international agencies to require Russia to withdraw these troops? Is the Government honestly neutral in the crisis in the Middle East or is it giving a measure of support to the Arab nations? If it is neutral, why has it been silent on the presence of Russian troops in Egypt? Why does it permit Australia's international airline, Qantas, to land in Arab countries but not in Israel? Is Qantas being prevented from landing in Israel by the threat of economic reprisals by Arab countries?
