Mr HUGHES (BEROWRA, NEW SOUTH WALES) (Attorney-General) - I do not for a moment suggest that opinions expressed in the Press or by the Press are a complete gauge of public opinion but 1 do hold the view, if I may say so, that when representations are made to one about proposed changes in the law it does no harm to fry to promote rational discussion in which all viewpoints, for and against a particular proposal, may not only be put but, when put, will be listened to by me.
