Mr FAIRHALL (PATERSON, NEW SOUTH WALES) (Minister for Supply) - I have noticed one or two statements attributed to the Mayor of Toowoomba concerning a proposal to establish a tracking station. When the joint survey team representing the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Department of Supply was looking about the area for a site it called on the Mayor, was warmly welcomed and was given a good deal of help. In the event, of course, the station will be established in, I believe, a neighbouring municipality. In fact, there is no agreement to which the Toowoomba City Council is a party. Therefore, some of the statements attributed to the Mayor may not necessarily be accurate.
