Mr SPEAKER - Does the honorable member claim to have been misrepresented?

Mr TURNBULL - No, I do not claim to have been misrepresented. I misrepresented some one else. I said, during a debate yesterday afternoon - and so I thought - that the honorable member for Lalor had made reference to promissory notes in a speech. I now find that the honorable member made some reference to unsecured notes but did not mention promissory notes. I am happy to correct my misstatement, and at the same time I take the opportunity to wish the honorable member a happy Christmas.

Mr Pollard - Mr. Speaker, I appreciate the correction made by the honorable member for Mallee. I did not expect it, as he made his statement yesterday in good faith. I very greatly appreciate his tendering of Christmas greetings, which I am happy to reciprocate.
