Mr COUTTS (GRIFFITH, QUEENSLAND) - Has the Minister for External Affairs seen a statement made by a British Foreign Office spokesman to the effect that Britain would go to the help of Jordan if that country were attacked by Israel? If he has, will he inform the House whether, and to what extent, Australia would be involved in any action the United Kingdom Government took under the Anglo-Jordan Mutual Defence Treaty of 1948?
