Mr SPENDER (WARRINGAH, NEW SOUTH WALES) - In yesterday's issue of the Sydney Daily Telegraph it was stated that the Prime Minister, in answer to a letter from the Newcastle branch of the Australian Labour party, indicated that the banking policy of the Government could not be put into effect because the Government did not have a majority in both Houses of the Parliament. Did the Prime Minister write such a letter? What is the policy of the Government which, he says, he is unable to get through both Houses of the Parliament? If this policy is of importance to Australia, why does he not submit it to the Parliament ? Will he place the correspondence referred to on the table of the House?
