Mr FRANCIS - On the 26th February, the honorable member for Melbourne (Dr. Maloney) asked the following questions, upon notice: -

1.   Did Wing-Commander Cole, of the permanent Air Force, post or place any election placards on culverts or other erections of the Roads Board betweenGeelong and Winchelsea in December, 1931?

2.   Has the Defence Department received any reports about such a matter?

3.   If not, willhe call for a report from this officer, and inquire from the Roads Board whether the facts are as stated, or if any complaint has been made in regard to the matter ?

I am now in a position to inform the honorable member as follows: -

1.   No.

2.   No.

3.   As the secretary of the Country Roads Board has received no complaints, it is not proposed to take any action.
