Mr NAIRN (PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - Is the Government contemplating the appointment of a Chief Protector of Aborigines, and the establishment of a special court for aborigines, in North and Central Australia? In view of the deficit of £647,000 incurred in connexion with the administration of that area last year, would it not be advisable to investigate possibilities of retrenchment rather than to create new offices ?
