Mr CUNNINGHAM (Gwydir) . - Cannot the Prime Minister supply honorable members with' more definite information than is contained in the vague statement that the money will be obtainable during September or October? The position is very serious, and important issues are involved. There are men all over the country who are desirous of making 'arrangements to meet their financial obligations. Can the Prime Minister say definitely on what day the money may be expected to be paid into the accounts of the people interested? Honorable members every day are receiving letters from different parts of Australia, urgently asking when the money due will be available, so that arrangements can be made with financial institutions in the matter of the wiping off of overdrafts. I suggest that the Government use al its resources to see that the money is paid on a definite date, rather than leave it to any happygolucky proposition whereby the amount may come to hand at any time within a month or two.
