Mr NICHOLLS asked the Postmaster-

General, upon notice -

1.   Whether investigations into the working conditions of country mail contractors have been completed, and, if so, will the PostmasterGeneral take the earliest opportunity of adequately compensating them for loss caused through the abnormally high price of fodder?

2.   Will the Postmaster-General prevent in the future any contractor taking a mail contract at a ridiculously low price?
