Sir WILLIAM LYNE (Hume) (Minister of Trade and Customs) . - I move -

That the following new sub-clause be inserted : - " 4A. Spirits for use in scientific investigation shall be treated and dealt with in manner prescribed."

Sir John Quick - Why not " shall be methylated ?"

Sir WILLIAM LYNE - I did not draft the amendment, but the Crown Law Officer who dealt with the matter thinks that it is the better provision to insert.

Sir John Quick - It is very dangerous.
