SUPERANNUATION LEGISLATION AMENDMENT BILL (NO. 2) 1986

Order of the Day read for the adjourned debate on the motion of the Minister for Community Services (Senator Grimes)-That this Bill be now read a second time.

Senator Michael Baume moved an amendment, viz: At end of motion, add "", but the Senate is of the opinion that the Government has failed to apply adequately the provisions of the Superannuation Act relating to the payment of invalidity pensions, thus causing a significant loss of revenue to the Commonwealth''.

Debate continued.
