Senator ROBERT RAY (8:42 PM) —Let me say that would be a matter for disputation. In certain circumstances, parliamentary privilege would override this act; in a lot of other circumstances, it would not. There is, of course, a higher duty than parliamentary privilege. If you, Senator Brown, have knowledge of information that is going to lead to a terrorist act, we would not need to issue a warrant with you, would we?

Senator Brown —You could come and see me.

Senator ROBERT RAY —We would not need to issue a warrant with you because you would assist the authorities, as I would.
