Senator FAULKNER (5:08 PM) —by leave—The approach that the opposition has consistently taken when, for one reason or another, the result of a division does not reflect the will of the electorate is to grant leave and allow a recommittal to take place. While that has been our approach, and will be our approach on this occasion, it has become a matter of courtesy to provide the Senate with an explanation. The point I make is this: if an explanation is provided to the Senate, then leave will be granted for a recommittal.
