Senator MICHAEL BAUME —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—


    (i)the allegations by the Member for Throsby (Mr Hollis) in the House of Representatives, in the week beginning 26 June 1994, that `Macedonians, with the help of a couple of spivs from the NSW Labor Centre Unity Faction, and I believe with the support of the NSW ALP Head Office, decided to stack against me', and

    (ii)that membership of the NSW Labor centre unity faction is shared by these `spivs' with Messrs Keating, Brereton, McLeay, Punch, and Senator Loosley and former Senator Richardson among others; and

  (b)calls on Mr Hollis to make clear whether his use of the word `spivs' relates to all members of that faction or only to the two involved in stacking his branch.
