Senator WATSON —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—

  (a)notes that Australian exporters suffer a major competitive disadvantage on world markets due to the fact that they are denied any relief from the burden of indirect taxes on their input costs; and

  (b)calls on the Government to offer taxation relief to exporters from the cascading burden of indirect taxes on exporters' input costs and to treat income earned by Australian companies abroad on the same basis as income earned in Australia.
