Senator NEWMAN —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—


    (i)the cutback in funding in the 1994-95 Budget for the reduction of public hospital waiting lists and the Government's failure to spend funds on maintaining hospital infrastructure, and

    (ii)the 1994-95 Budget's failure to take action to reform or encourage private health insurance;

  (b)condemns the Government for the abrogation of its responsibilities to improve access to quality hospital care for all Australians; and

  (c)notes that the reduction of hospital queues was a promise made by this Government to the people of this country.
