Senator BJELKE-PETERSEN —My question to the Minister representing the Prime Minister concerns the bicentennial medallions to commemorate our 200th year which were to be presented to primary, secondary, pre-school and kindergarten children. Is it a fact that a decision has now been made by the Government not to issue the commemorative medallions to the pre-school and kindergarten children? Does the Minister concede that this decision has meant that the most receptive group of young Australians will now be denied an opportunity to begin to appreciate the importance of this occasion in our nation's history?

Senator BUTTON —I appreciate Senator Bjelke-Petersen's question. I do not concede anything because I do not know anything about the topic at all but I will obtain an answer for her as quickly as possible and let her know.
