That the Senate-

(a) notes the demand from the Minister for Finance that the Opposition should pay $400 for a computer print-out of details of grants made under the $1,400m community employment program that the Department admits will take only two minutes to produce which had previously been denied to the Opposition and which was only to be supplied after a freedom of information request was lodged;

(b) further notes the assertion by the Prime Minister on Sydney radio that `information about the community employment program is quite readily available'; and

(c) requires the Minister for Finance to accept the direction of the Prime Minister and immediately make available this information, which is of major public interest to the Opposition free of charge so that the Australian people may be better informed of the extent of the massive waste of taxpayers' money involved in this program.
