Senator PETER RAE —I seek leave, under standing order 408, to make a brief explanation on a matter of a personal nature.

Leave granted.

Senator PETER RAE —During Question Time Senator Chipp suggested that all members of the Opposition condoned the actions of Pol Pot and the Pol Pot regime. I wish to dissociate myself from any such allegation and to say that under no circumstances whatsoever do I condone in any way or support in any way the actions taken by Pol Pot and the regime over which he was the leader.
