Senator WALTERS(12.19) —I will just address a question to the Attorney-General (Senator Gareth Evans). Does he admit that at present the Prime Minister (Mr Hawke) can, within the 12 months' limit of the Senate, call an election of both Houses of Parliament whenever he likes?


Senator Robert Ray —It is the Governor-General who determines that.
