Senator BOSWELL —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That the Senate-

(a) deplores the actions of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Board in seeking to rewrite Australian Laws and community standards on marriage, and rights and entitlements thereto, by extending to ABC staff in homosexual relationships the same staff rights, privileges and entitlements currently attaching to married couples; and

(b) calls on the Minister for Communications, and the Government to immediately disband the current ABC Board and to reconstitute it with members who are prepared to attend, responsibly, to matters within the ABC's charter to maintain and improve service and standards in an Australian national radio and television broadcasting service, rather than concentrating on matters such as moral judgments and community family standards outside its jurisdiction.
