Senator CHANEY (Leader of the Opposition)(9.07) —Looking at the balance of the Bill it seems to me that it might suit the purpose of the Committee if we consider the clauses in Division 1 of Part II together, consider the clauses in Division 2 of Part II together, consider the clauses in Division 3 together and then consider Parts III and IV individually. I have not had a chance to consult with my colleagues or the Minister for Social Security ( Senator Grimes) who is at the table but it would seem to me that that would be a logical grouping to permit us to make contributions on the clauses. Each of these clauses would, I am sure, repay the time which was given to the definition clause but I do not think it would produce much result so it might simplify matters if we dealt with them in that way.

The TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN (Senator Coleman) —Is leave granted to consider those clauses together? There being no objection, leave is granted.

Clauses 9 to 16-by leave-taken together.
