The DEPUTY SPEAKER ( Ms AE Burke ) (14:36): I would like to acknowledge in the gallery today the former member for Macarthur, Pat Farmer, who has just completed a short stroll from the North Pole to the South Pole, some 20,990 kilometres. I have been reliably informed that is two marathons a day, every day with no days off; congratulations. Sitting through this, he probably wants to run away from question time too.
