Mr LAWLER (7:59 PM) —In the couple of seconds available to me this evening, I would like to follow on from my fellow member and make a comment about the Paralympics. I commend him for his speech and for bringing to our attention a situation that I was not aware of. A young lady by the name of McKenzie Ling, who is five-years-old and is from Lake Cargaelligo Central School, is representing her area as the Lachlan Shire entrant in the Young Achievers for Paralympic Sport initiative. Over the next few months, she and her mother will be working to raise much needed funds for the Australian Paralympians to fulfil their dreams to represent Australia in the 2000 Games. Any help that anyone could give to support McKenzie Ling and other members of the public who are working hard to raise funds for the Paralympics I am sure would be most welcome. I commend McKenzie and others who are also involved in this activity.

Mr SPEAKER —Order! It being 8.00 p.m., the debate is interrupted.
