Mr MARTIN FERGUSON —My question is to the Minister for Employment Services. Minister, are you aware that the Prime Minister said before the election that his GST `is the greatest job generation scheme on the table'? Minister, do you recall saying since the election that the GST is `not going to solve the employment problem' and `was not a panacea for unemployment'? Minister, who is correct: you or the Prime Minister?.

Mr ABBOTT (Employment Services) —The Prime Minister is always correct in everything he says. Nevertheless, I am sure the Prime Minister would also agree with me that the GST, in conjunction with all the other policies this government is putting in place, will settle the unemployment problems this country has.
