Mr SINCLAIR —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

(1) that this House extends its deepest sympathy to the families of the two servicemen, Leading Seaman Garry Macey and Corporal Jim Campbell, whose lives were tragically lost in the crash of the Wessex Helicopter in Bass Strait on 4 December 1983; and

(2) commends the crew of the Esso passenger helicopter for its efforts in rescuing six of those on board.

Mr Scholes-In view of the nature of this notice of motion I ask whether the House could deal with it now and have it carried by honourable members.

Mr SPEAKER —Is there any objection to that procedure being followed? There being no objection I will allow that course to be followed.
