To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives of Australia in Parliament assembled. The humble petition of the undersigned citizens of Australia:

That because there is much concern in the community over the ratification of the U.N. Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women;

That because there is much concern over the proposed Sex Discrimination Bill based upon, and intending to implement, the afore-mentioned U.N. Convention;

Your petitioners therefore humbly pray that the Parliament of Australia will:

1. Immediately rescind the ratification of the U.N. Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.

2. Completely reject and abandon the Sex Discrimination Bill currently before Parliament.

And your petitioners as in duty bound will ever pray.
