Mr HAYDEN (Minister for Foreign Affairs) —I wish to make a personal explanation, Mr Speaker.

Mr SPEAKER —Does the Minister claim to have been misrepresented?

Mr HAYDEN —Yes, Mr Speaker.

Mr SPEAKER —He may proceed.

Mr HAYDEN —Yesterday I inadvertently made a statement in the Parliament that was inaccurate. I referred to 5,000 Grenadian troops who have taken off their uniforms and merged into the mainstream of the civilian population or into the jungle. My attention was drawn to this when I heard a newscast last night citing that figure. I immediately recalled that that figure should have been 3,000. For the sake of accuracy I want that figure in the record.
