Mr MILLAR —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That this House-

(1) notes the report of the Fraser Island Environmental Commission of Inquiry that the visual integrity of Fraser Island has not been adversely affected by carefully controlled logging operations, and that, apart from experienced ecologists, visitors to the island would be unaware that its timber resources have in fact been exploited for over 100 years;

(2) recognises the importance of the economic well-being of the Maryborough District of the continuation of logging activites; and

(3) affirms that conservationists' objectives not be permitted to outweigh findings of a properly established Commissionof Inquiry.
