Mr HOWARD —I ask a question of the Prime Minister. In view of his answer to the previous question of the Leader of the Opposition, could the honourable gentleman inform the House against how many media organisations he has instructed his legal advisers to take action arising out of the Combe royal commission and related matters?

Mr HAWKE —It is little wonder that the Opposition has rapidly become an object of derision in this country. At Question Time in this Parliament, a period when members of the Opposition have the opportunity of directing questions to matters significantly affecting the welfare of this country, we now have the position that three of their questions have been directed so pathetically to this issue. I will answer the Deputy Leader of the Opposition's question. I emphasise that I hope people will take notice that three such questions have been asked in the limited time available to them. The answer to his question is: I think three.
