    14   Migration Amendment (Complementary Protection) Bill 2011

The order of the day having been read for the resumption of the debate on the question—That the bill be now read a second time—

Absence of quorum

Ms Gambaro called the attention of the Deputy Speaker to the fact that a quorum of Members was not present.

The bells having been rung, and a quorum not having been obtained within the prescribed time, the Deputy Speaker at 10.12 a.m., in accordance with standing order 55, announced that the Chair would be resumed in 8 minutes.

At 10.20 a.m., the Deputy Speaker resumed the Chair, and a quorum of Members was present.




Debate continued.

Question—put and passed—bill read a second time.

Leave granted for third reading to be moved immediately.

On the motion of Mr Bowen (Minister for Immigration and Citizenship), the bill was read a third time.
