INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS LEGISLATION AMENDMENT BILL 1994

A message from the House of Representatives was reported transmitting

for the concurrence of the Senate the following bill:

Message no. 273, dated 11 May 1994--A Bill for an Act to amend the law

about industrial relations, and for other purposes.

The Minister for Small Business, Customs and Construction (Senator

Schacht) moved--That this bill may proceed without formalities and be

now read a first time.

Question put and passed.

Bill read a first time.

Senator Schacht moved--That this bill be now read a second time.

Explanatory memorandum: Senator Schacht tabled a revised explanatory

memorandum relating to the bill.

On the motion of Senator Panizza the debate was adjourned.

On the motion of Senator Schacht the resumption of the debate was made

an order of the day for a later hour.
