AUSTRALIA'S SECURITY AND INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES-ROYAL COMMISSION- STATEMENT BY PRESIDENT

The President made a statement relating to the granting of permission for certain pages of Hansard to be adduced in evidence before the Royal Commission on Australia's Security and Intelligence Agencies and the representation of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and himself before the Royal Commission.

The Leader of the Opposition in the Senate (Senator Chaney), by leave, moved-That the Senate take note of the Statement.

Ordered-That the debate be adjourned till the next day of sitting, and that Senator Chaney have leave to continue his speech on the resumption of the debate.

The Leader of the Government (Senator Button), by leave, made a statement relating thereto.
