Senator WONG (Minister for Climate Change and Water) (6:06 PM) —If the question is asking what proportion of the 20 per cent target under the government’s modelling would be taken up by heat pumps and solar hot water, I think I said previously that the modelling indicated five per cent. I also said that that is obviously impacted upon by what the parliament does around eligibility criteria and the design of the scheme. The COAG process that is dealing with this issue is due to report by the end of the year. I have indicated to the opposition and the chamber that the government proposes between now and then—in the near future—to have an interim measure to try to improve the integrity of this aspect of the scheme.
