Senator NETTLE (5:26 PM) —My question relates in particular to people who are currently married in a heterosexual relationship and are undergoing—next year, for example—gender reassignment surgery. Currently their relationship is a heterosexual one recognised under the law. After this legislation comes in and they go through gender reassignment surgery, will their relationship and their marriage still be recognised under the law?
