Senator VANSTONE (Minister for Family and Community Services and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Status of Women) (5:38 PM) — The government is concerned with the precedent being set and notes also that doing it this way, putting it in legislation, could— and I am not saying it would, but it could— limit the methodological options available to an evaluator. But I have listened to what the senator said. I understand the reason he wants it this way. We are going to do an evaluation anyway, so we will not be opposing the amendment.
